Welcome to my little blog, here you can find me musing about my vintage home and cottage garden, being a mother, the art of tea and my photography addiction.
I love to share my re-loved projects and I’m always making something, be it a dress, hedgerow jelly or something for my home, (you can also find some of our home/hand-made wares and my watercolour paintings on our etsy store).
We keep bantams which keep us in good supply of eggs- so I bake a lot! My hubby is in charge of the veg plot, growing as much as possible to keep us going throughout the year.
And we have a little beagle called Purdey who really keeps me on my toes.
Roam free and stay as long as you like, I’ll pop the kettle on!
I’m a mother, wife and home-maker, and take enormous pleasure looking after my family, my home and cottage garden, its like getting to play with a huge dolls house every day!
It’s the simple things… laundry blowing in the breeze, the smell of honeysuckle and roses on a warm summers evening, and picking pretty blooms from the garden for the home, that make life simply lovely.
I love to paint in watercolour, and can be found most days in my studio at the bottom of the garden with a cold cup of tea gone grey after the many times I confuse it with my paint water and end up dunking my brushes into it.
I was lucky enough to be taught to paint by my late grandfather who was a truly amazing artist and a source of endless inspiration.
I have a passion for photography and shoot with a very old fuji fine pix S3 pro DSLR which I team with a vintage nikon lens, and a Olympus Pen F which is my go to camera. Oh, and I’d be lost without my iPhone for taking instant pics of inspirational moments, I am utterly obsessed by Instagram, and love sharing my daily snaps with such a wonderful bunch of people, many of which I now call my friends! I hope you enjoy looking through my simple little blog.
